Executive summary: nothinpp collects no personal data. Everything runs on your device. No servers, no accounts, no analytics, no tracking, and this version makes no network connections of its own.
1. Who we are
nothinpp is an iPhone app developed by KODDO, an independent software studio based in Santa Cruz de la Sierra. For any question about this policy or your data, write to [email protected].
2. What the app does, in one sentence
nothinpp blocks apps and sites on your phone using Apple's Screen Time. You unlock yourself, with deliberate friction (a wait, a written reason, a physical gesture). A future update will add a mode where a trusted person approves your breaks; if and when that ships, this policy will be updated first.
3. Data that never leaves your phone
This data is stored locally (in an App Group shared between the app and its extensions) and is never transmitted to our servers or to Apple beyond what Screen Time itself needs to function:
- Your selection of apps and sites to block (opaque tokens from Apple's
FamilyActivitySelectionAPI — we don't see or store which apps you picked in readable form, only the identifier Apple hands us). - Your "why" (the reason for your focus session, written when you start).
- Your unlock reasons (the reasons you write when you open a break yourself — stored only on your device, as a mirror of your own past answers).
- Your streak, your blocked/used time counters, your daily budget preferences.
- A device identifier randomly generated on your phone (not your Apple ID, not the advertising IDFA, doesn't identify the person — it's a local UUID).
4. What we do NOT collect
- No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. No Firebase, no Facebook SDK, no AdMob, nothing like that inside the app.
- We never sell or share your data with advertisers, under any circumstances. Screen Time data specifically is never used for advertising — that's a condition Apple requires for access to that API, and we honor it.
- We don't create a username/password account.
- We don't access your contacts, photos, location, or microphone.
5. Network
This version of nothinpp makes no network connections of its own: it has no backend, contacts no server of ours, and does not register for push notifications. All of its logic and data live on your device, and it works the same in airplane mode.
The only network activity that could occur is whatever Apple's own Screen Time / Family Controls framework does internally when you grant the permission — that is Apple's system, governed by Apple's privacy policy, and we neither see nor receive anything from it.
6. How long we keep your data
Ending a focus session clears that session's state (your app selection, the block scope, the daily budget). Three things are kept on purpose, so that stopping and starting over doesn't erase your history: your streak, your "why", and your list of unlock reasons. That list is not capped — it grows for as long as you keep using the app, and it is the most personal text nothinpp holds. It stays on your device and is shown back only to you, as a mirror of your own past answers.
Uninstalling the app deletes all of it, permanently. That is the complete erasure path: because nothing is ever stored on our side, there is nothing for us to keep or delete, and nothing to request from us.
7. Your rights
Since we collect no personal data, there is nothing to request, correct, or delete in our systems. To delete everything the app stores locally on your device, uninstall the app. For any question, write to [email protected].
8. Children
nothinpp is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under that age. Using Screen Time / Family Controls with minors should be done through Apple's own parental control tools (Family Sharing / Screen Time for a child's device), not through this app.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change anything material — for example, when the trusted-person ("ally") mode ships and starts using iCloud, or if we add any new service — we'll reflect it here with a new "last updated" date at the top.
